Bolas 5 #55 October 17, 2007 If you close your eyes and have someone gently touch your forehead, you see sparks. I saw a woman "O" from various touches around her body. You're fine in the big groups unless you get some jackass that squeezes your hands really tight. No no, I agree with you bill. The irony i saw is people saying it's been done many times safely, and that precautions are usually taken, usually. So having those facts given it's ironic that someone who is involved in a risk sport is getting sort of bent out of shape about people playing with some electricity. One could argue that although precautions are taken one could still be hurt skydiving right?? So that is where I saw the irony.Skymama's #2 stalker -

billvon 3,111 #71 October 17, 2007 >t's ironic that someone who is involved in a risk sport is getting sort >of bent out of shape about people playing with some electricity. I hear this a lot, but I guess I don't agree. If I saw someone swooping a Xaos-21 98 at 200 jumps, I'd talk to them. That might make me a hypocrite because I'm in a risky sport and I'm telling someone else in the same sport that what they are doing is too risky, but I don't see it that way. To me, there's risky and there's stupid. Likewise, it would take very little effort to get a safe electric 8-way thing going; a simple two-pole electronic circuit breaker set for 100ma would do it. If you did something dumb (like trying it when you're wet) the breaker would just open. A flyback circuit run by a 9 volt battery would be even safer, and would hurt a lot more without being dangerous. (I think they even sell games like this.) But in any case - do whatever you like with the electric 8-way! Just be aware of the risks. (And having an AED nearby - along with someone who knows how to operate it - wouldn't be a bad idea either.)
