Glad I could be of assistance. :)
Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here?

It was nice meeting you, too! Sorry...I didn't mean to leave you out. :$

It's alright... you probably just didn't see me during that zoo dive:D

Ah, that jump was really...different...lol. :S:ph34r: People were all over the place on that hybrid. Some of us were wondering (after the jump) why the hangers kept holding on, when they kept flipping the base over and never got stable. When they finally let go of our leg straps, everyone was everywhere. I flew far, but fast over to Scarlett and rebuilt the base. Some more peeps came in to try to finish the base, but then, it was utter chaos, again. Some people barreled into or came at us from above or below, instead of getting level and docking. I have no idea why they chose to crash into us, instead of slow down. (Lmao!) I don't even know who it was either. I was thinking..."WTF???" CRAAAAZY... Steve kept hi-fiving me after the jump for trying to save it. Lmao...good times, right?

The next jump that I did was an awesome sunset 4-way (H-1-O), so that made up for it. Hope the rest of your jumps were better...lol! :)

Actually, that was the last jump I did. I was one of those hangers that kept hanging on:$

started trying to rebuild the formation, but I kept thinking it was a dumb idea to try and stand out the door. just my personal thoughts. Would've been a lot easier to have everyone out on their bellies

So would that be a partial mal? My pilot chute was out but not deploying the main.

I'd call it a scary jump and I'd probably put it in the log book as forgetable.

It deployed the main... It just took forever and a day.:P

Still confused here...

Soooo... you're saying you towed your pilot chute for a bit, but then it drug your main out and you landed your main uneventfully from there? That being so... yeah, been there, done that, yepers, it will get the blood moving, but not quite a high speed mal if it didn't, well, mal. :D Anyway, do you jump a kill-line pilot chute? If yes, I'm sure someone has already mentioned about making sure its cocked... especially if you just had a packer pack it.

Actually, I started a thread in Safety and Training with the complete details. I did not post all the details here because it's the Chicks Rock/Elsinore thread. If you want the complete details, please see my thread in Safety and Training.

I posted the detail in Safety and Training, so I can see why you are worried. Okay, the first time I tried to deploy, the pilot chute would not come out at all (hard pull), when I went for it the second time it was still in the pouch, and when nothing happened after that attempt, I went for the reserve. Since it wouldn't come out on the first attempt, I made a wrong assessment that it was simply a hard pull. So I had more than one issue with the pilot chute on that jump.

And it's certainly possible I haven't stated something clearly. I'm still a little jet lagged.

Please tell me specifically what was misstated and I'll do my best to clarify.

That you would have 'completed' the reserve pull only if the main had been starting to inflate and not fully inflated...you do understand that is a recipe for at best, a two out situation, at worst an entanglement.

Yes, 'Twardo I definately understand that, and it's very sobering. I'm disappointed in myself for not looking over my shoulder before going for silver, and for not becoming more familiar with my gear.

Am I correct in thinking that the main had already begun deployment before I went for the reserve handle? Because I think if it had started deploying at exactly the same moment as I grabbed the handle, they both would have come out.

Were you the one I said looked like she threw up on her shirt after getting pied?:ph34r::D:)

Could have been, although Lisa was more of a mess than either Jen or I. I just know I had to jump in the shower asap to get that crap out of my hair!:S[:/]

I felt the love though:)
