bloody_trauma 2 #3 June 1, 2006 i'm a noob, what is that item? its miltary gear i was just wondering if anyone had come across one of them before and how does it compare to other harness's? would you hook a container up to that separately? do commercial rigs have the container separate from the harness? can someone explain that item to me please, in general ive learned that military gear sometimes shys away from the more conventional aspects and im pretty sure that that item is the militaries take on parachuting aside from the civilian build of such a productFly it like you stole it
JerryBaumchen 1,450 #4 June 1, 2006 It looks to be military surplus; go back about 40 yrs and it would have some value in this sport. Today; not much. Jerry
2jumphi 0 #5 June 1, 2006 The container is a BA-22 made it is currently used by the U.S.A.F and is used as a bail out and ejection chute. Air Force service life is 13 years. It takes a C-9 28 foot flat canopy. If you want to jump one, I have one.bob
