Terminator ball swaging

One of our local manufactorers use such method:

terminator ball with shank swaged to it place by smallest hole in Nicopress tool (only the ball swaged, not the shank).

Is it normal method for such operation?

Nicopress is one of several accepted methods for installing balls on the ends of ripcords.
Ideally, balls are swaged with the same tools used for making aircraft control cables, but with aircraft quality swaging tools starting at US$3000 ....
All those methods work as long as they pass a pull test.
Pull tests vary from 300 to 600 pounds depending upon which TSO you are trying to satisfy.
