Identifying a SKYGOD

So I was talking with some ASSHOLE(aka friend of mine) about skygods.

as far as we discovered there are 2 types of skygods.

1-the type that everyone ELSE calls a skygod
2- the type that TELLS everyone else they are a skygod.


which kind to you have at your dz?
what are some common characteritstics?

I've always understood 'skygod' to be a derogatory term given to those that put themselves on a pedestal.

yea thats one type. then there are the ones that we consider skygod's ( in a good sense) but arent egotists.

those are the real skygod's but as with any superhero theres always bizarro world

I ahve noticed two types of jumpers that fall into this category as well.

1) the old timers who have been there, know their shit and you should listen to them

2) the young jumper know it alls...avoid this species....

Actually my point is, I would never call a skydiver I respect a 'skygod' because none of the skydivers I respect consider the term 'skygod' to be a compliment. I would call someone I respect learned, I would call them a mentor, I might call them an icon, but I would never call them a skygod. Maybe I'm old school, but that's how I see it.
