Honestly, I think The Eagles joined Joe Walsh. The Eagles were good but had pretty much run their "California Country" musical course, really had nowhere to go. When they teamed with JW and Don Felder (Barnstorm), the style became more progressive, the music in general was more intricate and their popularity soared. I think JW was the force behind their "five-part harmony" vocal arrangements too. You can hear the same vocals on previous JW albums."T'was ever thus."
