jimstermer 0 #1 October 22, 2007 I've got a friend that's writing a report about a people who aren't like her so she chose skydivers. She's never been before. She'd like to know why you do it, what you've been afraid of most and how long you've been doing it. She's also looking for a volunteer to two that she could "interview" over an email. Can anyone help out? I gave her a crash course in skydiving so she's not completely clueless but she's still a whuffo
PLFXpert 0 #2 October 22, 2007 Please don't take this in a rude way: There have been a TON of threads about this topic in the past. If your friend did a search, I'm sure she'd find more than enough useful info.I'd volunteer to interview (I LOVE both interviewing and being the interviewee) but I'm not nearly as current as many others here that would be more suitable. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
countzero 7 #3 October 22, 2007 been jumping almost 2 years. jumping my own pack job the first time was unnerving until i remembered i had a reserve that a rigger had packed. i do it for pretty much the same reason anyone else that's engages in a hobby or recreational activity does: for fun, relaxation, to challenge myself to improve, and the social interaction with like minded people. the adrenaline rush i get from risking my life for the reward of having a blast jumping is just an added bonus.diamonds are a dawgs best friend
