skybytch 273 #1 October 24, 2007 Did a couple day hikes in Marin county (just north of the Golden Gate Bridge) last weekend. Awesome scenery! And it's pretty amazing that such beautiful places that are so close to a major metro area didn't end up covered with houses and minimarts. The attached pics are frame grabs from video. I think she'd go insane if she only got to hike once a year. Here are a few pics from a recent trip to Point Reyes, which is a few miles north of Marin. First one is the lighthouse from the top of the 300 stairs that are the only way to get there, third one is the stairs from the bottom, fourth one is the Farallon Islands off in the distance; the other two are self-explanatory.
