Flat and non-stick, it heats evenly and has a wide range of temperature control. Not just good for crepes, I have made pancakes, french toast, eggs, omelets, grilled cheese, quesadillas, etc. I've stir fried with it. A few weeks ago I grilled a pizza crust with it. I've grilled fish and chicken on it. The thing just simply does EVERYTHING... We went and got a spare last year in case this one ever goes out and they stop making it. Rick 67 #53 October 25, 2007 my electric steamer is the shiznit it will steam most fresh veggies in 15-20 minutes and has a little screen on the bottom you can put garlic on so the steam passes by the garlic while cooking and my huge slow cooker I woke up this morning to the smell of a nice pork roast cookingYou can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!
