Just learned this last night. My brother's visiting for a couple of days during his 10 day vacation from Hawaii (I know that sounds wrong, but he lives there). He sprained an ankle playing pickup basketball before coming here. Rather than using a bulky freeze block like you use in a cooler or ice cubes, get a large ziplock bag, pour a mixture of water and rubbing alcohol in it, zip it shut and throw in the freezer. I'll have to ask what the ratio of water and alcohol was used, but the result is a jelly texture that you just mold to your foot or whatever needs icing down. :)

Or just buy one of those gelee packs for $5 and keep it in your freezer. Lasts a lifetime. At least Billy's had his for 16 years now.

Then you don't have to wabble around looking for the rubbing alcohol.B|

Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I had one of those gel packs for 15 years, then accidentally dropped it and it split open. [:/]

How much does a bottle of rubbing alcohol cost? Less than a buck I bet. :P
