NoShitThereIWas 0 #51 October 31, 2007 Jogged 1.5 miles and felt like eating a big plate of lasagna afterwards. (Starting to feel like and resemble Garfield the Cat). But I had a salad and some soup instead I need to be good on Halloween. I need to be good on Halloween. I need to be good on Halloween. My goal is to lose 15 pounds by April. That would put me at 127 which is a decent (not as skinny as I would like) weight. I have myself set up on a workout schedule to swim, run, jog and do aerobics at least 3 times a week. MrFreefall383 0 #52 November 1, 2007 Good work, thanks for the update! Keep it up! I haven't worked out in a couple days because I've started to feel sick again. Living in a household of cold-prone people doesn't help, so I got a quick cold remedy, and I should be better by tomorrow, then back to the pool immediately."If at first you don't succeed... well, so much for skydiving." - aviation cliche
tigra 0 #53 November 1, 2007 I picked up (or just finally gave in to......) a cold over the weekend- felt like crap all day Sunday and most of the day Monday, so I didn't workout on Monday night, but I did workout Tuesday and worked out pretty hard with my trainer last night. I felt a million times better after the workouts and I think the fact that I'm in better shape over all has really shortened the duration of my cold. I'm usually feeling crappy for a lot longer than 2 days. Of course the bad news is Halloween, candy, office pot lucks, hormones, etc...... Hopefully, I can behave and control my eating at least between now and Thanksgiving!
MrFreefall383 0 #54 November 1, 2007 That's my problem now. All that leftover candy from a less-active-than-usual Halloween is dragging me further into the pit that is laziness and a cold. I still don't feel like the cold is overcoming me, so this cold remedy seems to be working, but at this rate it'll be next Monday before I work out again."If at first you don't succeed... well, so much for skydiving." - aviation cliche
gonzalesna 0 #55 November 1, 2007 Well, for 3 weeks straight now, I haven't gone one day without being sore from lifting. I don't lift on the weekends, yet I struggle doing my curls on the weekend because arms day is friday. The things I put up with to gain weight. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.

ladydyver 0 #58 November 1, 2007 Hello all....I have decided to join the band wagon. I actually was up to 160 last year this month and started working out pretty consistently until jan. At that point I was down to about 154. Got through graduate school/got remarried ----- work outs were intermittent in nature and then jump season came and the workouts went out the door. By the end of summer I was feeling - yuck! Weight was about 155 at that point. Started working out about a month ago and also changed my diet. The change in diet was huge - I physically feel better. I had stomach problems for the last 10 years and with the change in diet they have gone.......except for when I cheat and eat either highly processed foods or high carb foods. I rarely drink soda anymore and drink a tone of water. I work out 4-6 days a week. 30 minutes of cardio and alternate weight lifting upper body one day and lower body the next. I try stretching 3-4 days a week. With winter here the exercise helps me deal with life so I am hoping that I can stay up with the plan....so far so good....been pretty good up until last week when we went out of town to go jumping. I will keep all posted on process. I'm only 23, so I hope I'm not getting sore joints already. Otherwise I'll be in a world of hurt when I get older. Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. tigra 0 #62 November 2, 2007 I did hard core legs with my trainer on Wednesday and thought a Boneira class (Brazilian martial arts done "Ballys style"- lots of kicks, lunges and squats with some dance and cardio thrown in) would be a good idea last night! Geez- my butt is sore today! doh!
