PhreeZone 20 #1 November 2, 2007 Ouch, this is going to put a major dent into the progress that BlueRay has made so far into the home consumer base. http://blogs.pcworld.com/staffblog/archives/005840.html Its 1080i vs 1080p... but this is interesting none the less for me to decide what format to go buy all new new HiDef titles in. Its another 1 day special so if you want to get one get it fast in the morning!Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

PhreeZone 20 #3 November 2, 2007 Thats what my link is about I'm trying to decide if I want to go get one or not, I might get it just as an upscaling DVD player and use the coupon to get some free HD-DVD's. Remster 30 #4 November 2, 2007 Well, Blue Ray will probably have to follow suit pretty quick now.Remster
simplyputsi 0 #5 November 2, 2007 Phree and Corn. Sorry that says TOSHIBA on it. It's a piece of shit in my mind!!! Toshiba sucks balls. I'd pay twice/three times more for a sony, samsung, well actually anything else that is worth a damn. But to each his own. Maybe it works a year for you, maybe less. Fuck Toshiba!!!! And that is all I have to say about that. Skymama's #2 stalker -
DSE 5 #6 November 2, 2007 Actually, the 99.00 deal is a response to Sony announcing a 25% reduction in the cost of Blu-ray players. I have both, I prefer Blu-ray, but I'm also vested in authoring BD discs, which is quite difficult to do right now with HD DVD. Plus...it's toshiba. leroydb 0 #7 November 2, 2007 Whats the deal on upscaling DVD player's? will they make a DVD appear higher quality?Leroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio...
PhreeZone 20 #8 November 2, 2007 My original Toshiba SD2150 (dual disk when they were just released) has been working fine for 7 years, I went out and picked up the HD-DVD this morning just since it was cheap and I'll use it primarly as an upscaler. That and the 5 free HD-DVD's it has as a mail in made it a whole lot easier to justify for an upscaller.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Brian425 0 #9 November 3, 2007 I bought one today. AT $100.00 plus 5 free HD dvd's it is disposable. If blue ray wins, no problem. If HD wins, I already have one. You really can not go wrong. If I could have foune more, I would have bought 3 or 4 for gifts. I love how technology races along. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. Coreece 190 #10 November 3, 2007 QuoteIf blue ray wins, no problem. If HD wins, I already have one. Yeah...At sub 100, its not like a big deal anymore. It seems like they are both doing well...I think they will both stick around for a little while to compete against other emerging formats...I'd prefer my movies on some type of compact removable media like SD or memory stick...Discs and disc players are just to big, bulky and to mechanical for today.Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are...
