DickMcMahon 0 #1 November 5, 2007 Sunday November 4, 2007: I’ve FINALLY done it! After years of research I’ve finally developed the world’s first TIME TRAVEL machine. I'm about to try it out this morning. This is my journal. Not only will this wonderful machine transport me back in time by several thousand years, but it will also be taking most of the United States with me. It's an exciting moment. 1:50am: You say it can’t be done? Well, just watch. In just a few minutes I will throw the switch and 2007 will be gone. The heck with what Stephen Hawking says … that time travel isn’t possible. It is now! 1:55am: I’m almost ready. Wow, just think of the possibilities. We can go back and stop all the bad guys from killing people. We can change history and make the world a better place. 1:58am: To those scientists reading this journal, it all has to do with creating a region of "spacetime" that is WARPED in just the right way. Hey, I just realized, we can even make some big money on this by taking tourists to see such things as President Lincoln giving the Gettysburg Address. Or, wouldn’t it be great to meet Alexander the Great? Then again, it might be terrible to meet Ivan the Terrible. Maybe the Wright brothers will let us jump out of their airplane. 1:59am: Enough speculation. It’s time. Let’s do it! I’m now approaching the machine. 2:00am: I’m throwing the switch! #$%^&*!*&^%$#@ 2:05am: Damn! I think I may have made a slight miscalculation in programming the machine. It’s still November 4th, 2007. We’ve gone back only one-hour. And, on top of that, the machine seems to have blown a critical part! We’re STUCK here for a while. It may take up to 6-months to get it fixed and move us all forward again to get that hour back.
