lawrocket 3 #1 November 7, 2007 Many Yanks may be able to see the Shuttle reenter today. The first opportunity is to land at 1:01 p.m. EST today, meaning it'll enter the continental US about 12:30 or so EST. That's only about an hour away, folks. Deorbit burn coming in about 40 minutes. Check here for ground tracks and see whether it'll be passing right over you. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/shuttlemissions/sts120/news/landing.html Too bad that the landing tracks are too far north for me to watch. Post pics. I'v always wanted to see the glow of reentry - something that I've missed before. My wife is hotter than your wife.

BillyVance 35 #3 November 7, 2007 The shuttle's path is coming almost directly over me at between 11:47 and 11:52 AM CDT. I wonder if I'm gonna hear the twin sonic booms... Anybody wanna take bets that I hear them? lawrocket 3 #8 November 7, 2007 Quote See it? We'll hear it and feel it! Hey, I've heard the double boom a bunch of times. But what I'd love to see is the reentry. It'd be nice just to get an idea of the sheer speed involved and say to myself, "DAMN! THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THAT THING!" My wife is hotter than your wife.
