warpedskydiver 0 #1 November 8, 2007 I know that being on the honor roll is no biggie these days, but it is when she is in the gifted program. Well at least it is a biggie to me.(the only such program in the state) A couple years ago they had a student go from 8th grade straight to Northwestern. (the only kid in her school that was selected and tested well) I am very proud of her, since she rides horses (english) we are going to get her a thouroughbred hunter/jumper. I will post pics of the horse later on. I am very grateful to her teacher last year who reversed the awful trend instilled in her by her know nothing, slacker teacher the year before. I guess it helps when a teacher has 34 years on the job, too bad they made her retire against her will. She really needed the job too since her daughter started college. Oh well back to arguing in SC.

warpedskydiver 0 #3 November 8, 2007 Thank You! I jokingly raised my voice and said "what the hell!!! you got one B?" The best part is she is kind, well mannered, respectful, and works hard around the house on chores, as well as working in the stable without pay. she can throw 80lb bales of hay for an hour! (no she is not a gorilla)(just to earn her place there, and get extra rides) I never dreamed I would be a parent someday
skysprite 0 #4 November 8, 2007 Sounds like you're doing something right! (I got the same joking tone from my parents when I was a kid too! First couple of times I didn't realize they were joking, and I felt awful! But I got 'em back the next time report cards came out by creating a perfect fake but with horrible grades, and then gave them the real one after they freaked out a bit. ) ~skysprite
