guppie01 0 #1 January 3, 2007 Has anyone seen it??? Comments.... I'm considering seeing it tonight and curious whether it's worth the 40 mile drive or wait until it opens in a theater nearby. Looks good though~ g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" Raddest Ho this side of Jersey #1 - MISS YOU OMG, is she okay? labrys 0 #2 January 3, 2007 I haven't seen it but by all means, please go and consider yourself lucky to have it showing so close to you. I'd love to see it but the closest showing is 6 hours away. The more people who go see it now, the better chance it will be released in more theaters. So GO!Owned by Remi #?
Slappie 9 #3 January 3, 2007 I'm waiting for the release. I think it's going to be a trip movie. siddacious 0 #6 January 3, 2007 I havn't seen it yet, but I did see an extended trailer at the H.P. Lovecraft film festival in October. It looks quite bad ass. Apparently it's playing in the city tonight though A dolor netus non dui aliquet, sagittis felis sodales, dolor sociis mauris, vel eu libero cras. Interdum at. Eget habitasse elementum est. johnsw71 0 #7 January 3, 2007 Anybody know where it's playing near SF? I guess I could look it up on line, but that would require effort... andy_b 0 #8 January 3, 2007 I really enjoyed it -- definitely a movie Hollywood would never ever consider making. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it's an excellent story and the more I think about it, the more I appreciate it. Go with an open mind (I don't think the trailers do it justice) and I think you may be pleasantly surprised.

guppie01 0 #16 January 4, 2007 WOW, I rarely walk out of a movie wanting to see it again.... this movie was EXCELLENT! I really wish I spoke Spanish so that I could pay more attention to the movie (I'm sure I missed a ton). No worries, I'll be seeing it again soon. I was on edge for most of the movie; never a dull moment.... left my mind spinning for a good 2 hours afterward. The combination between war/fantasy was brilliant! I was so captured by all the characters - especially Captain / Ophelia / Faun. It apprehended every emotion... hate, love, fear, anger, sadness, joy - made me feel like a kid again, made me want to make an impact. God, I could go on and on, but I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't seen it... WOW I highly recommend this movie. It is not for anyone with a weak stomach though - there are some graphic scenes that made me a bit squeamish. There is a reason why it's rated "R" - do not take young children - it is not all fantasy like the previews portray it to be. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" johnsw71 0 #18 January 12, 2007 I second the high remarks. I saw it last night and was seriously impressed by the imagery and emotion it provokes. I liked the challenge that it presents of daring us to believe in the imaginary, and the juxtaposition of that with the opposite end of the spectrum -- the harsh reality of war, perfectly contrasting the real world with the world of make believe. Yes, very stunning fantasy imagery, but there were indeed some pretty ungainly scenes of blood as well. I'd be curious to hear what others thought of it. PLFXpert 0 #19 May 18, 2007 It released on DVD on the 15th and Netflix shipped it to me that same day. We're watching it for the first time tonight. I'm so excited! I hope it's good. I've been so nonchalant about every movie lately. The last movie I saw and thought "so refreshing & wonderful" was "Little Miss Sunshine." We just saw "Maria Full of Grace" and I thought that was good, but...like everything else I rated it three of five stars. I have very few four and only two five stars, I think. So, hopefully Pan's will warrant at least a four. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. Nightingale 0 #20 May 18, 2007 That movie was SO good... when I went into the movie, I had a headache. The flashing lights of the movie turned it into a full-on migraine, but I insisted on staying til the end of the movie because I wanted to know what happened! guppie01 0 #21 May 18, 2007 Carrie, Let me know what you thought.... damn, now I want to go and get my hands on the DVD and watch it over the weekend. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" PLFXpert 0 #22 May 18, 2007 I'm excited. What I don't understand is why some believe the end leaves no hope? I won't give it away, but I know how it ends and??? Seems like either I'm nuts, or others misunderstand and/or misnterpret the meaning. But again, I'm watching it tonight for the first time and... 'Course, I have been called nuts before.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
crotalus01 0 #23 May 18, 2007 No spoilers here, but the ending is pretty perfect, really the only way it could end. Hopefully you will understand when you have seen it. Definitely not a "happy" ending, but not really a "bad" ending either. Shit, can't say anything else without ruining it for some... As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD... PLFXpert 0 #24 May 20, 2007 Quote but the ending is pretty perfect, really the only way it could end. Saw it. I agree.I gave it 4/5 stars. My ratings are as follows: One star--didn't finish it/sucked enough in the beginning to not further subject myself to the torture. Two stars--probably finished it, but not guaranteed and hated myself for wasting the time. Three stars--finished it. Was good/OK. (I rate nearly every movie a three or less.) Four stars--finished it. Liked it. Would watch it again for free. Would not re-gift it if given as a present, but wouldn't buy it myself or watch it more than a couple times. Five stars--Loved it. Bought it. Have/will watch it a billion times. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
skymama 37 #25 June 1, 2007 I had to bring this back up again. We watched the movie last night and really enjoyed it. I was a little hesitant to rent it because I'm not into fantasy movies, but going back and forth between the war scenes and fantasy scenes definitely kept my interest. I highly recommend this too!She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
