skybytch 273 #1 September 6, 2006 A group of rockclimbers did AFF recently at Davis. They put up a slackline to play on. Several regular jumpers have become addicted to it. It's great for weather holds and entertainment between loads. Today, standing on one foot. Tomorrow, backflips!

LyraM45 0 #3 September 6, 2006 hahaha....here's some good ones. My boyfriend got me hooked on this. Now I have some way to occupy myself between loads or on windy days. ....oh, and it is a good way to get hurt-- I don't have nuts, but I've been slapped between the legs so hard that I was bruised. You get beat up learning, but once you get a stand up start going you're all good. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)

The111 1 #5 September 6, 2006 Hey Lisa, that's my line in the pics Ashley posted, at Sebastian (where I met you!). Glad you found slacking, it's fun. It's a staple of every rock climber's diet, but it's funny those guys brought it to you since a lot of DZ's have them already. Guess there's another similarity between our sports. Maybe there is a third forum HH need to partner with, slackline forums? www.WingsuitPhotos.com
RkyMtnHigh 0 #6 September 6, 2006 Yep...Matt is pretty good at that balancing thing on the slackline...I tried and fell off immediately... Looks like you did well also...damn you gymnasts...or should I say "youngins" _________________________________________

homer 0 #10 September 6, 2006 Quote I know ZHills has one of those too near the "Nylon City" area. Where is the "Nylon City"? I was at Z-Hills not to long ago and don't remember seeing or hearing about it (slackline). I would have given it a go if I had known about it. I guess it was best not knowing. I can't begin to think of the out come when you mix a bunch of drunk CRW dogs and a slackline. CSA #699 Muff #3804
RkyMtnHigh 0 #11 September 6, 2006 Nylon City=paid packing tent The slackline is between Nylon City and the gear shop...really close to where you guys were doing your circleups and practicing your bigways. _________________________________________
homer 0 #12 September 6, 2006 Thanks, I stayed away from that area. I don't trust anyone to pack my own canopy. I take it back "Packing Cathy" is the only one I have ever trusted to do it. CSA #699 Muff #3804

skycat 0 #21 September 6, 2006 Slacklining is a lot of fun and a great way to work on you PLF. What is crazy is when you do it over large crevices 20-40 feet off the ground.
