JohnRich 4 #28 November 13, 2007 QuoteDoes everything have to be a fucking arguement with you? Lets try this. They were probably happier then after they were gathered up and forced to leave the land that was theirs before we we got here and forced to walk till many of them were dead. Do you think thatis a true statement? Now go find a fucking picture of an indian slave to prove that there were more unhappy indians. Gosh, did you get up on the wrong side of the bed? I was simply disagreeing with you about their overall welfare. Disagreeing, is not always "arguing". The ancient native Indians in southwest Texas, the Humanos, had tribal warfare amongst themselves, were preyed upon by the Apache and Comanche, raided and enslaved by the Spanish, and if they migrated south, killed by the Mexicans. No matter where they went, there was no peace. Americans were just the last in a long line of people that helped exterminate them. I doubt that they were very "happy" about all this history... Attached: a bust of what a Humano Indian may have looked like, based upon skulls that have been found.
SpeedRacer 1 #29 November 13, 2007 Yep. People in the Western Hemisphere were being complete assholes to one another, just as people in Europe were. Slavery, genocide, wars, etc. It has been going on all over the world. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

Slavery, genocide, wars, etc. It has been going on all over the world. Agreed. There were peaceful tribes and warlike tribes. The West doesn't have a monopoly on brutality. As for what happened - I didn't do it, and neither did my ancestors (emigrated to Minnesota from Hamburg in 1845, and never went anywhere. My father was the first of his family to leave the state), so there. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
mccurley 1 #31 November 17, 2007 The demise of the Beothuck(spelling?) indians in Newfoundland bears a startling resemblance to the Tasmainian Aboriginal. In both cases the white settlers basicaly span the island and just hunted them down as if the were vermin.Watch my video Fat Women http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRWkEky8GoI
