AggieDave 6 #1 November 19, 2007 I also hate CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, BBC...lets see I can't think of any other big news channels. I don't want a talking head attempting to tell me what my opinion should be. I don't care who you think you are and how important you are to be on TV. All I want to see while I get ready for work is the news. Just someone reading a headline with facts along with some video of whats going on if its available. I don't care that Tom Cruise went batshit crazy. I don't care what OJ did and I sure as F*** don't care about Paris Hilton. Atleast I used to be able to put on CNNHN and get that, but over the last 5 years its drifted from a 30-minute loop of news to another talking-head channel full of bullshit. If I want to listen to talking heads then I listen to talk radio. Its enjoyable to listen to the extremes of opinion arguing. Its like SC (although slightly less polarized then SC).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
GogglesnTeeth 6 #2 November 19, 2007 After working in the media for the better part of my "working life," all I can say is!!! I agree!!!! Every news channel now is basically tabloid TV. Even the local stations are buying into that crap. I'm once again out of the TV business, and I hope to never go back. Enjoy this rant from Dennis Miller! http://www.cottonsonline.com/DennisMillerRant.htmGoggles and Teeth "You fall like a greased safe!!!"

JohnMitchell 16 #4 November 19, 2007 I don't watch TV news anymore unless someone I know is on it. There seems to be little indepth reporting, just pretty pictures of car crashes and fires and kittens stuck in trees. Now when Vskydiver is on tv, I watch. jtval 0 #7 November 19, 2007 Well then, Thank goodness for TMZI can not stand the news channels either. most of them are just like reading through the threads here. (not an attack on you Dave, but all the threads usually end with a bunch of whiny pussies whining about their pussy hurting because what the OP said) My photos My Videos
pinkfairy 0 #8 November 19, 2007 You can never get "the real news", impartial, objective truths. The news or any facts will always be colored by the opinion of the people who report them, and I think it's better when the news reporters don't pretend that they are telling you the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I hate Fox News too, but that's because it's annoying. And norwegian news is getting increasingly annoying too with stupid interviews of people in the middle of the news broadcast. Well, there's always the "off" button.Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet. I'm a BIG, TOUGH BIGWAY FORMATION SKYDIVER! What are you? kallend 2,174 #9 November 19, 2007 Capitalism at work! The big media corporations provide what makes them the most money. When there is a sufficient demand for real news, someone will provide it and make a profit.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
