speedy 0 #1 May 13, 2006 So I decided to get a re-line on my VX Extreme. Does the Extreme mean extreme prices or what? $570 for the re-line from Icarus in Spain Does this seem pricey to other people? Dave Fallschirmsport Marl

parafredo 0 #4 May 14, 2006 I just can't believe they are asking 570.00 $ for a reline. At this price,do they think they will be in business for a long time...I did a reline on a VX last year with their line set and they were selling the line set for 200.00 us .I know one thing for sure, they do not want to give the line trim of their product to any master rigger. It seems that it is a military secret.Up to now,I am not quite impressed about this company politics. My opinion.. diablopilot 2 #5 May 14, 2006 You have a few other options for that canopy..... Call Precision Aero...they can reline or do the X-mod. In HMA if you want I'm sure. Call MEL at Skyworks.... Call Jim Slaton at Daedalus Canopies....for a JVX lineset...---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously. Did you get ripped off on an exchange rate, Duty or Tax. Did you include the cost to ship the canopy in both directions - most people don't. rm
speedy 0 #7 May 15, 2006 I actually paid 440 Euros. It is not an exchange rate problem because both Spain and Germany have Euros. Maybe tghe shipping costs to Spain and back to Germany added something to the price. Thanks for the tips about other options. However, I do not need a new line set now Maybe for next time.
