PLFXpert 0 #1 November 21, 2007 They work great for a while, then every once in a while after it says "attached" at some point it will "detach" for no reason at all even though it's still plugged in. Pretty soon as soon as it reads "attached" it will "detach" right away. So then one must figure out the exact way to intricately twist the cord--always near the head that plugs into the cell phone--and plug in again. And again. And again. Until it FINALLY reads "attached". Then the trick is to slowly lay it down & remove hand w/out causing it to "detach". Process must be repeated until successful until one has time to get to the store to buy yet another charger. I can just imagine the guy in the boardroom of the cell phone building that one day came up with the brilliant idea to make an extra buck and annoy the shit out of people. Oooo, and has it ever happened to you when you do find a charger that seems to last longer than previous ones and someone borrows it, they fall in love with it & war ensues? Actually that didn't happen to me. But, it's an ongoing hilarious story.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
NWFlyer 2 #2 November 21, 2007 Nope, it's just you.I think the only time I've replaced a charger is when I've lost one. And I'm not even sure I've done that. Or of course when I switch manufacturers... I wish they could all just get on the bandwagon and use the same type of connector (though the universal car adapter I bought two phones back has been well worth it as all I've had to do is replace the tips rather than the whole charger). bigway 4 #3 November 21, 2007 I just got sent a portable charger from my supplier. it is a motorola one and the charger is like an egg shape with a usb inlet and on the other side an outlet. Excellent idea and proper fast charges and easy and quick to charge the charger. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
PLFXpert 0 #4 November 21, 2007 I should note, my experience has been limited to portable at-home chargers--not car chargers. I'm actually going to buy a couple car chargers today for my two phones--never used a car charger before. My personal phone can go 10 days from a full battery before it needs re-charging. So before a road trip I just make sure the battery is fully charged and I'm good.My work phone's battery life sucks. It needs recharging all the time so usually I forward calls from that to my personal cell when I'm on the road. Still, I've been thinking a car charger for it would be nice. mnealtx 0 #6 November 21, 2007 It's generally the (cheap-ass) wire inside the cord where it joins to the plug itself that breaks, usually due to getting twisted or kinked.Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
NWFlyer 2 #7 November 21, 2007 Get the ones with interchangeable tips if you have to get it for two different phones. I know they have them at Radio Shack, not sure where else. PLFXpert 0 #8 November 21, 2007 That sounds exactly like the one I have that just fucking quit on me.Actually, after about 20 minutes of finagling I managed to get it to stay charging by keeping a lot of pressure on the head that plugs in and standing the cell phone up resting it on said head with wire bent at a 90-degree angle. PLFXpert 0 #9 November 21, 2007 Quote usually due to getting twisted or kinked. You're right about cheap-ass wire, but I'm royally organized and neat, thus a twisted, busted-up wire just will NOT look acceptable to me. I always keep them neat and orderly until they fucking die and then I proceed to bend, twist & kink the shit out of it until I've found the magical combination that sparks the flow of electricity through it again. It's really quite genius if I do say so myself.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

BillyVance 35 #12 November 21, 2007 I had that problem with one of my wife's sidekick pagers. The recharging plug cunt-hole on the pager for some reason would not wrap itself snugly around the prick when I needed to recharge the damn thing. Wiggling the dick around in that cunt-hole for 5 minutes to get the charging status to stay on is not my idea of a fun time. mnealtx 0 #13 November 21, 2007 Make a *VERY* small kink in your "dick" - that'll let it "hit the sides" of the "cunt-hole" and make sure it's "turned on". Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

skypapa 0 #15 November 21, 2007 Actually motorolas have very good designs. Your problem is not the phone. It is the charger. Per my earlier comment, get a car charger.
PLFXpert 0 #16 November 21, 2007 Exactly! Now that I think about it, my personal phone (which has never been a Motorola) I've never had a problem with. In fact before I switched phones, I'd had my previous phone charger for at least two years. It's always my work phone charger. I have a crappy work phone, but if you want all the goodies it's the rep's monetary responsibility for the difference. Since I have all that on my personal phone, I see no reason to pay for it on my work phone. It's my work charger in my office that is always dying. And it's always a Motorola. Fuck Motorola. That is all. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

PLFXpert 0 #18 November 22, 2007 MMMMGgggggggghhhhhH! That's me grunting. I do that sometimes. So I went to buy some new chargers and bought a universal one. And it said it had both portable & car included.... WTF? It has this one little wire piece and you can either plug it into the portable OR the car. I wanted an efffing piece to keep in my car always. How the fuck am I supposed to remember to always unplug & grab the wire thingie plugged into the indoor piece every time I leave somewhere IN MY CAR! Oh, the grand scheme: They only had a universal-for-all-phone-types charger for the portable. They did not have the same thing for the car. So I had to buy a universal for portable & car for both Motorola (includes all Nextel & Blackberry) & LG (includes Samsung).I spent $45! What a crock. I typically shop around for most things, but who has time to go to a billion places to shop for the perfect cell phone charger for the best price??? I could have ordered online, but I wanted it today and avoid shipping. OooooooaaaaHMMMMGgggggggghhhhhH! That is all! Ooo, except as I was stomping down the isle with my $45 worth of cell-fucking-chargers some girl exclaimed how she totally LOVED my jeans.So--you know--homeostasis. They work for my car, but I can't keep the device in my car at all times b/c the same wire-thingie is needed for the portable device (i.e. the one I keep in the office or house.) NWFlyer 2 #25 November 22, 2007 Quote Sounds like a Motorola I have. It is a common problem with them. Crappy design. I think it's user error. I had a Motorola for 2+ years and never had any problem with the charger. Well, there was that one time I sat in the back seat of a car with the charger plugged in up front and I pulled way too hard on the cord and it kinda broke. But I'll admit that's user error. Come to think of it, that Motorola worked *just* fine when I owned it. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
