jumpwally 0 #28 November 24, 2007 I am curious to as why are alias' allowed? What purpose could it serve? other than wasting time and spacr.... smile, be nice, enjoy life FB # - 1083
DougH 270 #29 November 24, 2007 On the few forums I have moderated in the past they weren't allowed. They serve no purpose for the majority of the subscribers. I would normally ban the new user name, if the warning wasn't heeded then the posters main identity would get the axe. If you have something to say then say it, and stand behind it. If you can't say something without being anonymous then shut the fuck up and keep quiet. CSpenceFLY 1 #30 November 24, 2007 For the most part I agree with you however there are situations that I feel it is justified.
nigel99 616 #31 November 24, 2007 I don't think that they are allowed as such. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=563662;Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
bigway 4 #32 November 24, 2007 For sure there are situations, but i feel it is for cases that are touchy such as deaths or criminals or being drugged and getting on jump planes etc... .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
DougH 270 #33 November 24, 2007 QuoteFor sure there are situations, but i feel it is for cases that are touchy such as deaths or criminals or being drugged and getting on jump planes etc... Maybe I am being simplistic and short sighted, but I think that is a little sad. Either we care about care about ridding our sport of people who are a hazard, or who jumpers who happen to be criminal dirt bags, or we don't. We should be willing to stick up for some one that comes forward if it is in good faith after we consider all the facts."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
bigway 4 #34 November 24, 2007 Sure, but that aint the real world. I have seen on this site when there is major serious things being talked about and someone made an alias to say something important. If that person had showed who they were then they may not have been welcome to that dropzone ever again and they would not be able to jump... though their information was a benefit to others or it had to be said etc... .Karnage Krew Gear Store . BillyVance 35 #36 November 24, 2007 I was told last Saturday at The Farm that Clay was going to show up the next day.
