How do you get rid of the smell of cat piss

Well, as we don't have a cat. We let someone stay that has one and has pissed on the carpet. The smell wont go away. Any suggestions

Baking soda/water paste. Let it dry while it absorbs the odor then vacuum.

I have 3 cats. It works.
Edited to add: My cats only piss in their box. But I do know how to clean up after visitors.
