Odd Twist of Fate

Recommended Posts

A few weeks back my partner and I work this dude that had been shot with a shotgun while breaking into some guys house, with gas can in hand, with the intent to kill him and burn down his house.

This mornings paper says murder for hire plot, with an old boss of mine doing the hiring.

So I worked for him years ago, and I end up working for him again, trying to keep one of his henchman alive:P

Sheriff’s detectives arrested two Bakersfield businessmen Thursday night for allegedly hiring the four men accused of attempting to murder a Rosedale resident and firebomb his home, according to KGET Channel 17.

Francis Giangrossi, owner of Coast Roofing, and his stepbrother, Jim Skiba, were booked on murder, attempted murder and conspiracy charges. Skiba, 41, was arrested Thursday afternoon at the roofing company. Giangrossi, 62, was taken into custody at the sheriff’s Norris Road headquarters around 8 p.m.

Investigators say Giangrossi shot himself in a suicide attempt Nov. 17 or 18, but survived his injuries.

The botched murder for hire plot was motivated by jealousy, police said. Giangrossi is married to the victim’s former girlfriend.

That doesn't make sense. He's got the girl now, but he's still jealous about her former boyfriend? Sheesh! He ought to be happy that she's with him now, and the former boyfriend lost her to him.

Maybe the woman nags him all the time about how her former boyfriend was so much better than him...
