karenmeal 0 #1 December 4, 2007 Someone Help me. I'm pulling my hair trying to format a fucking header for a group paper, this is what is keeping me from going to bed! I never can figure these out. All I want is for the cover page to say: Hearing Impairment i and all other pages to say: Hearing Impairment 1, 2, 3, etc. How do I do this? the help function is of no use to me. I've tried. Erroll 80 #3 December 4, 2007 QuoteFormat you page numbers so that they dont start on page 1 (i.e. the title page) Alternatively, using "Insert; page numbers", click "Format" and set "Start at" to zero. Then uncheck the "Show number on first page" box.
shropshire 0 #4 December 4, 2007 Insert a SECTION BREAK after Page i (your cover) and then as others have said, format your page numbers a i (for the 1st section) and as 1 (for the 2nd section) both starting from 1.... ensuring that the Copy formatting from previous section is NOT enabled. BIGUN 1,483 #5 December 4, 2007 View > Header and Footer. On the Header and Footer toolbar, click the Switch Between Header and Footer button. If you don't want the page number on the first page of your document: On the Header and Footer toolbar, click the Page Setup button (the button that looks like a book). You'll be taken to the Page Setup dialog, on the Layout tab. Click Different First Page, then OK. Click Close.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
