Who wants to build me an ark?

Recommended Posts

They're going to take away my "real Seattleite" card. I'm considering using an umbrella to walk down the street to lunch in a few minutes. It's fucking POURING out there.

Seriously, it never really "rains" here. It drizzles. It showers. It spits. It mists. But this kind of monsoonal 40 days and 40 nights crap is starting to get to me.

Just order something that delivers and you will stay dry. ;)

Alas, if I want the buffet lunch at the Indian restaurant ($5.95!) I have to brave the elements. I've been told that I won't melt. (No Wicked Witch of the West comments, please! :D)

You guys getting the blustery winds we've had here in PDX along with the rain? I had to laugh at how many umbrellas I saw inside out yesterday at lunch.

Oh yeah, the wind, too. I think I'm going to just zip the raincoat up tight and not bother with the bumbershoot. Reminds me of my favorite downtown Seattle sculpture:

We do still jump in the winter, just hop & pops in cloudy weather. . . or we freeze at altitude. . . I'll be buying a full face helmet this winter ;)

I know yall still jump. I question the sanity of it though.

It's really no big deal if you just bundle up like you're going skiing. Worst that could happen is you encounter some hail or snow, that's about it.

hmmm.. all the "bundling" makes my rig fit different, I dont like gloves cuz I cant feel my pud or toggles. Yea I have/will jump in the cold, but I wont make a habit of it.

Oh, I definately do bundle up. The pilot blasts the heat in the 182, so we don't really feel the cold until the door opens. I think the main difference for me this winter will be the helmet. My open face helmet last winter sucked. I got really windburned.
