turtlespeed 226 #28 December 4, 2007 Quote pssst.. What's a Floating Point Integer? Quote . . . they all are derived from a formation designed from manipulating and folding in most of the phalanges in my right hand at the metacarporealphalageal joint, simultaneously leaving the phalanges aligned linearly with the metacarpals in the second finger. I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
ZeG 0 #29 December 4, 2007 You almost sound like my math professor at the university. He once tried to convince a course of the beauty of calculating with the duodecimalsystem or the hexadecimalsystem. Half of the course fell asleep (literally!) after an hour... He has a passion for math I never could understand, for me it was just a course I have to pass on my way to my engineering degree.

Floating - what happens to me when I fall out of an airplane integer - I'll show you one (rather two since i'm in the uk) next time I come over. grannyinthesky 0 #32 December 4, 2007 Yes, I do have a passion for math that very few seem to have. But passion for the subject isn't enough, you also need to convey that passion to your students in a way that they can get it. It doesn't happen often enough, but that's what makes me a teacher, I guess."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! grannyinthesky 0 #36 December 4, 2007 I just had this random thought wander through my mind----I have a job that pays ok unless I want to do fun expensive things and, of course, what do I like to do? Photography and skydiving Waaaaay fun, but damn expensive. Oh, well, at least I can work extra to pay for my habits! "safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!! shropshire 0 #37 December 4, 2007 The fun things that are hard work are worth working hard to make happen. We appreciate them that much more. I see that in the kids around here, they [mostly] get things handed to them on a plate but don't seem to appeciate or respect their stuff (.)Y(.)
