Is there a way to prevent wet snow from collecting on a satellite dish?

Recommended Posts

We're getting really heavy wet snow right now and it is affecting my TV and internet. Fortunately the dishes can be reached from a window with a broom. Someone told me you can spray the dishes with pam or WD-40, but I'm a little leary about that idea.

Anyone know?

Thanks

Just on the dish part. My brother was really frugal and he did it and said it worked. They also did it on the ones on the roof of the building where I worked. I was too broke at the time to have a dish to worry about.

Chris,

My sister lives in Montana - your satellite dish provder can sell/provide you with a dish cover that won't interfere with reception.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

1. Lube

2. Pam

3. WD-40

4. Bacon grease

5. Turn it away from the wind

6. Go cable

7. Get off the couch and go do something

8. Trick the GF into doing it for you

9. Take a nap during snow hours

10. Lick it
My reality and yours are quite different.

I use Turtle wax and buffed it out to tak eall the texture away and the snow hasn't stuck since I reapplied it again last year when we moved. so not exactly shure how long it will last but as worked well for me.
SO this one time at band camp.....
