WatchYourStep 0 #1 December 12, 2007 AND I LOVE IT!!!! Sorry but I'm excited. This thing is amazing. One small issue though. In the center of the screen about an inch from the top there is a small (almost looks like a small hair follicle). It's not a scratch on the protective surface and it's not on the screen part itself. It almost looks like it's on the backside of the protective screen. Should I send it back? I could turn it off and maybe give it a little shake (kind of like an etch a sketch) and see if it comes down. Suggestions? This thing is awesome. skymedic 0 #3 December 12, 2007 Apple is great about taking stuff back if you are not happy. are you sure it is not a dead pixel? that sometimes happens and they will usually take care of you. welcome to the clan and enjoy!!! WatchYourStep 0 #4 December 12, 2007 Nope it's not a dead pixel. I just think it's like a lint particle on the inside of the protective screen. I'm thinking about just taking it into a Mac store. I don't want to send it back unless I have to because I've already downloaded a ton of stuff on there. Oh well I guess I could just use the Time Machine and back everything up to an external... Nightingale 0 #5 December 12, 2007 Go to the apple website and make a "genius bar" appointment at your local store. Then, take it in, and they will either fix or replace it. And buy AppleCare while you're there if you haven't already. It's worth it, and you will probably use it.
WatchYourStep 0 #6 December 12, 2007 Do you think that is something they can do in house? "You start off your skydiving career with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. Nightingale 0 #7 December 12, 2007 Maybe, and if not, they'll either just replace it for you since it's brand new (that's what I'd tell them to do), or take care of dealing with shipping it out for you.
WatchYourStep 0 #8 December 12, 2007 Thanks. i have an appointment set-up for 8 tonight. i hope it's something they can just fix as I've already dumped a lot of video and stuff on it and I haven't purchased a back-up device yet... thanks for the suggestion.
