gonzalesna 1 #1 December 13, 2007 I was going through some of my old writings and came across a poem I wrote about 4 years ago. A few people came to mind when I read it and I thought I'd post it. Time Slowly Speeds By The sands of the hourglass Fall at varying speeds Sometimes as slow as new sprouting seeds Time creeps on by Like the patient snail Or a boat on the ocean With a windless sail And yet at times it blows on by You blink and an hour's passed It's as though someone's put a hole In the side of the hourglass But either way, slow or fast Enjoy it while you can Because you never know when your time has come And you've run out of sandSome people refrain from beating a dead horse.
