Broke 0 #7 December 8, 2007 The T-Shirt mearly looks like his logo, but it is not. No violation of copyright there. ALLTEL uses their competitor's names in their ads, but not their logos...not even cheap copies. This guy is selling a clear copy, and "image" of what I hope is a trademark of D4DR Media. catfishhunter 2 #10 December 8, 2007 The people selling those know exactly what they are doing. They didn't just COME up with the logo. Again Maybe Sangiro is making a buck off it if not then a beat down should take place in Toronto. MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. bigway 4 #12 December 8, 2007 Of course they know what they are doing and i dont believe their is anything illegal about. I would not buy one though unless HH supported it. Though most skydiving tshirts are a mock of other logos. Exafo, got it in one... i reackon someone from skyride is behind it as well. I seriously do not think HH will think it is a big deal these tshirts as the person will not sell many and to be honest it is probably flattering to him that someone else has taken his logo and paid set up costs for each design with different .com, .bum etc to sell. If it did sell alot it would just end up advertising his site more really. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

catfishhunter 2 #17 December 8, 2007 First I didn't say they where illegal. If Sangiro had a Trademark in the USA and these people where in the USA then yes it would be illegal. Not sure Canada's Stand on protecting USA Trademark and Copyrights but changing the .com to .bum or .slut or WTFever you want doesn't allow you to steal a Logo. try making a shirt with the Nike Swoosh and Changing the name to Nikee.you'll have lawyers up your ass so far so fast you'll never have seen them coming.. I am not a lawyer so one can go find the Copyright and Trademark Laws themselves but I have friends that just when through some shit because they "parodied" Chem Dry who has been trying to destroy them over some bullshit. they made Chem Who? KMA bumber stickers and Shirts. Well obviouly Chem Who is not their name and the KMA well we knwo what that means but the Colors and LOGO where the same. Guess what because it was the same even though the name was changed and some jackass sold them instead of giving them away they got served. Destroying the product and templates kept them out of court and out of paying a huge punitive sum of cash. So is it illegal well that would be for a Judge to decide but as I said if they are paying HH then all is well if not someone in Toronto kick those guys in the nuts... I like the fact this site is free for me and The money HH gets for his BRAND (which is what brings advertisers in) is what keeps it that way for me. Destroying the product and templates kept them out of court and out of paying a huge punitive sum of cash. My brother used to be part owner in a company that manufactured jacuzzi bathtubs. Small local company here in Edmonton. They didn't distribute outside of the province. One of their models was called the Niagra. The logo had a stylized "N" and at a glance, it kind of looked like a "V". And guess what happened? About a year into them making the tub, the makers of Viagra, Pfizer, sent them a nice little letter telling them that if they didn't stop using that logo, they would be sued. According to their letter, the logo and name on the tub would be confusing to consumers as it "looked" like Viagra at a glance. Hmm. I guess you could stretch the relationship between a drug for erectile dysfunction and a jacuzzi bathtub and how someone going to get that little blue pill could accidentally purchase a jacuzzi tub. They did stop using that logo. And it gave them a good laugh. They still have the "Niagra" model and like to make it in blue! bigway 4 #21 December 8, 2007 the tshirt probably brings more people to the site and that brings more advertisers to the site. Nike swoosh sign is mocked on so many tshirts i have seen. I did not realise trademarks were only limited to the US, i would have presumed they were worldwide? Personally, I dont think you should be suggesting violence over someone selling a tshirt that is funny and promotes the website. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . catfishhunter 2 #23 December 8, 2007 Again if they are paying HH then all is well and I'll order a shirt because they are cool. But if they are stealing the logo and profiting off what HH has built then yeah kick them in the nutsIf someone tried to steal my company Logo which I paid good Money to have created and trademarked and Copyrighted you can rest assured I would make damn sure they wished they hadn't. Just so we don't get into a pissing match I am not taking your opinion personally :) But I do not see them promoting the site only attemting to profict off HH's hard work, but again if he is getting a cut I am ALL FOR IT MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. pilotdave 0 #25 December 8, 2007 I get pissed every time I hear about a company suing over stuff like this. Sure, if someone opened Dropzone.net (it's for sale!) and used such a similar logo that a visitor might think that the sites are associated, that would be a problem. But making a perfectly funny joke out of a logo, legal or not, should be encouraged because it's funny! I like those shirts. Dave
