countzero 7 #1 April 26, 2006 i'll definately talk with my inst. before i buy anything but i thought i'd get some opinions here as well. yet this past weekend i found out that my fall rate is around 104. and that's with me wearing a suit that was so tight it was bordering on uncomfortable on my arms and calves. all the other student suits at the dz are too long legged or too baggy on me. i'm 5-9 and 135. i want to try to get my fall rate up with a good fitting suit, improved free fall technique, and input from my inst. before i'd consider weights. i'll go with a rw suit for now and when i get my A and move into freefly either keep it as a back up or donate it to the dz for future students. i'd like a suit that's sturdy and durable and i'd like to stay under $300. any input and suggestions are welcome. blue skiesdiamonds are a dawgs best friend

Seriously though, takes popsjumper suggestion and talk to a couple of reputable jumpsuit mfg's for suggestions on a jumpsuit to help 'speed' you up... I did the same thing in reverse... got some help to slow my lard ass down, and it worked. They actually wanted me to arch more on a jump last weekend! And if all else fails, there's always the greatest invention since sliced bread (at least a far as the heavier jumper is concerned!), the weight belt! Amazon 7 #4 April 26, 2006 Quote104? You suck! Try arching! Arching.. hell...... this is someone built for nekkid skydiving. Seriously though.. you may need to do like some other lightweight jumpers do and get a Zero P front on your suit so you can speed up a bit.. otherwise.. weights are going to be the ticket for you when you jump with a lot of other jumpers... not all but most fall a tad faster than 104.
