johndh1 0 #6 December 19, 2007 Probably "Oh Holy Night," especially the Celine Dion version. I also like Andy Williams' "Most Wonderful Time of the Year." It's so hard to pick just one. I LOVE "Christmas Canon" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Billy, I really wish you could hear this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGrhzCgy_bgRoll Tide Roll

lawrocket 3 #12 December 19, 2007 Quote Silent Night This just totally lacks credibility to me. They didn't have epidurals back then. Yeah, you could probably hear Mary yelling for miles. And what about Joseph, eh? I'm sure his communications were more than just muttering. "I'm telling you, God, you BETTER be the father. Yeah, she's telling ME that she's a virgin? Yeah, right, and now I got this to deal with. I'm telling you, without all this action, I think I'm gonna go find someone from the Spears family. I'm sure I could nail one of them." But, to answer the question, I am particularly fond of Merry Christmas Darling by the Carpenters. Karen Carpenter just had the most amazing voice.... Oh, and Christmas with the Devil by Spinal Tap. My wife is hotter than your wife.

Muenkel 0 #19 December 19, 2007 My favorite is also 'Oh Holy Night', but only if it is performed by someone who can really do it justice. I don't want to hear it by some mediocre vocalist. It's kinda like 'Unchained Melody'. If you can't really nail it, don't sing it. I was pleasantly surprised to see someone mention Perry Como. My mom performed with him a ton of times back in the day. _________________________________________ Chris

lawrocket 3 #22 December 19, 2007 Perry Como? Smooth voice, but nobody ever accused him of putting on an awesome live show. Come to think of it, Mel Torme's version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" was great. Actually, Mel Torme WAS great. My wife is hotter than your wife. Muenkel 0 #24 December 19, 2007 Jerry, In regard to Perry Como, he was a crooner and song stylist. A lot of people don't think of the old crooners as having 'smooth' voices. Is this your opinion? Personally, when I think of a 'smooth' voice; I think of someone like Luther Vandross. _________________________________________ Chris
