I always heard that church, was a good place to meet chicks!

Chuck

It sure is! That's where my father met his mistress- choir practice, no less. The entire choir and the priest knew about and supported the relationship. They all went out drinking together. [:/]

I've heard, churches are good for cover-ups, too![:/]

Oops. I bought US Weekly that week instead.

:P

Seriously, even through the awful VMA performance, I was routing for Britney (and I'm not/never was a fan). I'm still routing for the Spears girls, I guess. But, it's becoming way too difficult.[:/]

Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

So middle to middle lower class means trailer park trash to you then? I think comments degrading people about living in trailer parks is rather disgusting, especially since most full time skydivers live in a trailer park.

I used to run into Britney's Dad some about 5 or 6 years ago when I went out drinking. I don't know whether or not they ever lived in a trailer, but let's just say he didn't do a whole lot to dispell the perception that he could have been not far removed from the trailer park.

Criminal conduct aside, the father just set himself up for the next 20 years thanks to child support payments.

If you're a poor gal and want some income for the next few years? Get knocked up by a rich guy.

If you're a poor dude and want some income for the next few years? Knock up a rich gal.

Caveat - don't get knocked up by NBA players. They've got so many child support payments to make that they are out of money.

See? Kevin Federline knows he's got plenty of scratch coming in for the foreseeable future. So this boyfriend doesn't have to worry about student loans anymore. He'll have a nice house and a good place to raise the kids.

Who knows? Maybe the junior Spears is messed up and won't follow legal advice. We see an example of her ex-brother-in-law who followed his attorney's advice and her sister, who did not.

By the way - this is a shame and a failure of parenting.

I just love how she said she was "shocked" to find out she was pregnant... ...hmm, lemme think about that for a sec... ...you're a naive 16 year old screwing a naive 19 year old, what the hell do you think was gonna happen?

That whole family is a bunch of trailer trash skanks. I'm not for abortion but this is one case she should consider it or at least put the kid up for adoption... ...give it a fighting chance, unlike Britney's kids.

I know the family are public figures and in most people's eyes, fair game for judgment.

I've now read judgments about trailer parks, Christians, Catholics, teen pregnancy and bad parenting. I guess it's nice to throw stones. I don't condone what has happened, but sometimes this happens to good people. Whether J.L. Spears is a good person, I don't know.

My family was raised in a 5500 sq. ft. home. We were raised strictly Catholic and my parents did their job extremely well. My sister became pregnant at 19 and due to her faith and the support of her entire family, she raised a wonderful daughter. It happens in the worst of families and the best of families. Positive things can come out of these situations.

I personally wish Jamie Lynn Spears the best and I'm proud of her for choosing to keep the baby.

My daughter is now older than I was when she was born and hasn't yet caught pregnancy. I consider that a nice step in the right direction. Hopefully it'll be another 6-16 years and she'll have an established career and a loving husband before she turns me into a grandpa. B|

What gets me about this story is, if I understand the news correctly, this 16 year old girl's parents let her move in with her 19 year old boyfriend. Is it any surprise she's pregnant? I wouldn't feel bad about throwing a stone at that particular wall, if I actually cared. It just goes to show that foolishness knows no socioeconomic boundaries. :S

I see your point of view Dave. I don't think I will be nominating the Spears family for 'Family of the Year' anytime soon. My point, which I'm not so sure I made very well, was that what is done, is done. There's a new baby on the way who deserves every opportunity in life that is possible. I hope the family can get their act together and give this child a good start at life.

Exactly.
I was adopted. It was the best and worst thing that could ever of happened to me and if a family can afford the cost of raising a child in a good neighbourhood then i see no reason and would discourage adoption. It is not nice to grow up knowing that you are a completly different person from the people who are raising you.

When i found my birth mother after a long 18 years i finally realised who I was. It was nice to finally meet someone who shared the same blood as me and were so alike.

I know alot of people are adopted here and i dont want to talk for their feelings on the matter but the truth is, most adopted children have fucked up issues with the parents that have adopted them. I was adopted at the age of 2 days old.
Abortion stinks! Adoption stinks!
If you have a baby, raise it, take responsibility, I am sure that this girl could raise some beautiful children and i get the impression that her mother would be there to help her for the remainder of her teen years.

Personally, I do not believe there is anything wrong with sex at the age of 16, it is legall in every single country i have ever lived in apart from the states. However, i do not think having a child at the age of 16 is a good thing but many have and many have done so well raising their children.

The thing is, I see the future spelling out miscarriage. Why the fuck would she be telling people she is pregnant? It has to be a publicity stunt. People dont tell the world they are pregnant until after the first tri mester because they know their is a good chance of losing it in the first three months, I get the feeling she is trying to get media attention and will then say she lost it for more attention when it is time for her to be shwing she is pregnant.

I call BullShit. The Pregnancy is a media stunt.

bigway,

You may be right about the publicity stunt. I just can't think of what it will accomplish.

Adoption is a different experience for everyone. My niece had no relationship with her birth father. He was out of the picture when my sister was 5 mos. pregnant. This was a good thing IMO. My sister met the man she would marry when my niece was 2 years old. He adopted her on the day they were married. My niece was 4. He really was a good father to her. My sister and her husband never kept it a secret that she was adopted. When she was old enough to understand, they answered every question and my sister had kept pictures of him for her.

When she got into her 20's, her curiousity led her to seek out her biological father. This turned out to be a huge disappointment for her as he had the maturity of a 20 year old. He was still not interested in having a relationship with her. She handled it really well because she had a solid relationship with her adopted father. She's getting married in August and my sister asked her who she wanted to 'give her away'. Her response took about a second. She said 'my sperm donor father already gave me away, my real father hasn't'.

Here's a different take on adoption. My other brother in law was adopted. He just turned 50 and he has never experienced a desire to seek out his biological parents.

Every case is different. No case is more right than the other.
