New Years Eve plans = 0

Recommended Posts

:| My cousin & her husband are throwing a New Years Eve party & invited me. would be fun but it's just over an hour's drive away & I'm NOT looking forward to driving back in the rain late at night on New Years Eve B|. (they said I could crash there, but it would kinda suck: they have a kinda small house & two children & a couple dogs.)

So I think I'm going to be a party pooper. Maybe I'll walk down to the pubs near my home or something.

anyone else have no plans for New Years Eve?

nah, the rest of us are loved by all and just sorting through the tons of entertainment options that we have:P

I have one obligation and every intention of fullfilling that early enough to be safely home before the nuts are turned loose on the roads

Erin and I have no plans for New Year's Eve. Like you, I'm not real enthused about driving home from a party, or waiting for hours for one of the few taxis we have around here.

Come to our house. We should be having multiple parties on our street, our house included, and you know we have lots of room.

Of course, you really only need 2 people to have a great party.;)

Tell Erin "hi" from us, 'kay?

Sometimes those are the best New Years Eves. I gave up the hype for NYE about 6 years ago and started having fun again. Maybe a casual dinner with a couple of friends, watching TV and wondering what Dick Clark does to preserve his face, lots of laughing and giggling, and avoiding the drama, the cliches, the expense, the hassle, and the inevitable buildup, letdown, and hangover.

Man, I wish we could take you up on that, but we just drove over there and back this past weekend and I'm not feeling up to doing it two weekends in a row. Hope you two have a blast without us! ;)
