Should have actually read the thread before replying... I still think it's a funny quote though..."That formation-stuff in freefall is just fun and games but with an open parachute it's starting to sound like, you know, an extreme sport." ~mom

Darius11 12 #53 January 2, 2008 QuoteIt's not that marriage doesn't work. It just doesn't work for everybody. Some of us take a little longer to come to that realization. Just to add to this. It does not work for most as more then 50% get divorced, not to mention the 44% or so that remain married are not necessarily happy.I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

popsjumper 2 #58 January 2, 2008 Quote ....A married woman with children has so many things encouraging the decision to get a divorce. There are tremendous advantages, and no downside to that decision for a woman, apart from leaving her husband. I got your back... Regardless of what she's like in real life, unless you can prove with photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one that she is a drug-addicted whore and certifiably insane, She gets the kids She gets the house She gets alimony She gets child support She gets the car She gets 50% of everything you busted your ass for your entire life...both before AND after the marriage. ...and then the judge can tell you to go get a second job to pay for it all. Oh, the equity of it all. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Thanatos340 1 #59 January 2, 2008 I have never been married and I will most likely never will. I just can’t see the logic in signing a legal Document that basically translates to "If she ever gets mad at me she gets all my stuff plus I have to pay her till she finds another sucker to marry her"... And what do I get in return for signing that document?? Higher Taxes (Marriage Penalty), Less sex, More nagging and loss of individuality. Here in Georgia the Official statewide Policy in Divorce court is "Fuck the Male, No lube permitted" The only way I see Marriage as a good idea is when BOTH people want to have children. In that case it is great. I personally do not want any more Children, My one and only is almost paid off. Yes, there are some happily married people out there but in general they are the exception and not the rule. No thanks, I dont see the gamble worth the risk and probably never will.
