upndownshop 0 #1 January 3, 2008 How accurate is it? Have you ever "checked" it? With the last two trips from Tx to the farm i started monitoring it. I ran it down to around 24 miles left, it was constantly changing based on the fuel input. I figured I had a gallon left, sure enough I filled up and based on the size of my tank it was pretty darn accurate. Love my Nissan Murano! Note- do not run out of fuel with a fuel injected system....not good...... Now what I didnt like was on the first trip to the farm my outside temp gauge read 71 in Texas at 1:00pm . I drove all the way thru arriving at 3am their time, damn thing read 26!! All I kept thinking was Im going back to 60 I dont care what state that is! CSpenceFLY 1 #2 January 3, 2008 The on in my '01 F-350 is pretty accurate. For some reason if you don't shut the truck off when fueling it takes some time for it to figure something out and read right.
Shell666 0 #3 January 3, 2008 The one in my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee is pretty accurate. Like you, when it tells me I have 40km or so to empty and I fill up, it takes about 75 or so litres. Me thinks that's accurate anyway.'Shell
airdvr 210 #4 January 4, 2008 My '03 Bonneville's sucks. Not accurate at all. The miles to empty reading is so far off it's laughable. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
Elisha 1 #5 January 4, 2008 Any of you Prius owners know how to get this? The manual says 11.9 gal (9.9 imp) and everytime I've filled up after seeing the last blinking square, I have filled up around 9 gallons. I want to see a really "miles left" calc though. WTF does the (9.9 imp) mean, implied? What does "implied" mean for gallons of gas? Why two difference? Bill von?

Elisha 1 #7 January 4, 2008 Never heard of "imperial" gallons. Weird - especially when the blinking light implies that I really only have a little bit of "imperial" gallons and not regular.
futuredivot 0 #8 January 4, 2008 It's probably a lot more accurate than the fuel gauge in a Bonanza You are only as strong as the prey you devour
