jtval 0 #1 January 4, 2008 So a while ago Sd mesquite had a few poker players do their skydive. cardplayer.com covered it. see the vid here My question is: Does anyone know how to download this video? i wouldn't mind having copy. Sure, I have the link etc. but I would like to keep the file on my computer for travel purposes. I can not find a way to contact the webmaster to ask them on this site. I am sure I am over looking it but maybe I can DL it like a youtube video. It wasnt the best videos Ive shot but they werent the best ARCHers in the world eitherMy photos My Videos
AggieDave 6 #2 January 4, 2008 http://media.cardplayer.com/flash/s/skydiving_CP_Multimedia.flv This looks like the source link for the video. Haven't double checked yet, though.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
ryoder 1,590 #3 January 4, 2008 It is FLash. All you need to do is locate where your browser stores Flash and grab it. e.g. on my Solaris box, it just put it in /tmp/FlashIJay4b. Copy it to a name with ".flv" on the end and any multimedia player that can handle FLV should be able to play it."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. bigway 4 #8 January 4, 2008 About 3 weeks ago, I was having a smoke break with Scotty Nuygen (sp) during the tournament we were in. We got talking about his wife, child and all the rivalry with his guys (pokerstars) and his mates with full tilt poker. Anyway, He was going on about how he was not allowed to do a bunjee jump with the other pros while in China. I mentioned i would not do this but i do skydive. Later in the day during another smoke break he asks me about jumping etc, I asked him if he would like to come for one while we got a day off the next day from the tournament. He would have loved to have come with his wife but he was told that he is not allowed to participate in such activities... He went on to tell me that all the pros that were bought on tour were allowed to do the bunjee jump but he is not. I understand things like this for sporting stars or tv actors but i can't understand this for poker players. How much can he really be worth to pokerstars? I know they pay for his buy-ins and acommadation but now i am starting to wonder if they also pay him a yearly salary for playing poker... and if so, does that mean if he wins tournaments does he have to give any of the prize money to pokerstars? .Karnage Krew Gear Store . jtval 0 #9 January 4, 2008 Good question. Maybe he was just a pussy and talking a good game with a better poker face. My photos My Videos
bigway 4 #10 January 4, 2008 Nah, the host of their tv station (a personal friend) confirmed this for me. I spent a fair bit of time eating dinner etc with Scotty during the tournament. I felt special at one point where he gave me his number and told me to come over for dinner at his house when i am over there next..... nice to get his home number as it means a serious offer but then he took the special moment away when he also stood up and invited the whole casinoHe also walked around the tables and shook every single persons hands. In case you are interested...... in between the tournament times i was playing cash games, Chris moneymaker was on my table each day and always losing , also drank a fair bit, anyways, we usually have pots on the tables i play average $1500 a pot. This one pot that moneymaker was playing, it got to $60,000. (never had i seen this at a table i have been on)... Moneymaker lost. Amongst us locals at this table he dropped around $120,000 from what i have been told from someone who was keeping countI say moneymaker can come back and visit our local anyday. Also noticed, nobody else played cash games while they were here apart from Isabella Mercier, The rest, Hacham, nelson, raymer i never saw at the tables inbetween the tournament. There is a funny video of raymer moaning about how he hates travelling and it is really annoying to him that he has to travel to play poker. Anyway, just thought all this blabber may be of interest to you guys. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
jtval 0 #11 January 4, 2008 Chris money maker was the winner (05/06?) wasn't he the online player? It must've been sweet to get a cashcow at your tables. My photos My Videos
bigway 4 #12 January 4, 2008 Yeah he was. HE is a nice guy, hell, scotty was a real nice guy but it would suck to be him. Everyone wants to take a photo and it was if he become 'the-nice-to-meet-you welcome wagon' guy. Moneymaker was defo a cash cow at our table. My buy-in to the tourney was $6300, i just missed out on a cash place but over that week i made just over $11,000 on the cash tables and that is very small compared to the others i play with. The tournament bought 200 ppl from around the globe just to play poker. When the different flights were on and tables were all used up they have these electronic poker tables but it is freeplay. I started quietly organizing $200 sit'n'go's at them .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
jtval 0 #13 January 4, 2008 You lost me at $200 sit and go's. Yea it would kind of suck to be stopped by every single person you walk passed. it would take an hour just to take a leak.My photos My Videos
bigway 4 #14 January 4, 2008 Or 10 ciggaretes to actually be able to get the enjoyment of a full one. Sit'n'gos are when you have a single table tournament and winner takes 70%, 2nd place takes 30% $200 is the buy in. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
bigway 4 #15 January 4, 2008 If maybe you mean $200 is too much for a sit n go, yes, usually it would be but not when the players have come from all around the world for a $6k buy in event. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

BillyVance 35 #17 January 4, 2008 Quote Moneymaker was defo a cash cow at our table. He's just a one hit wonder, as far as I know. Won the World Series of Poker once and not much else since. IIRC, his big win I think was the first WSOP to be televised on TV and helped start the Texas Hold 'Em boom. But I think you know it better than me anyway. bigway 4 #18 January 4, 2008 YEah, it was the first to be telivised and he was an ametur, however he makes alot of money playing poker for a living so i would not call him a one hit wonder, maybe a one hit wonder in a massive tournament but this profile seems like more than a one hit wonder. I mean, you cant expect the same person to win the WSOP series more than once. It may not be much in tournament winning but realise he also plays major cash games. http://www.pokerpages.com/players/profiles/37840/chris-moneymaker.htm .Karnage Krew Gear Store . jtval 0 #20 January 4, 2008 Quote That last guy's brain was sizzled when they left the plane. Nice tumble! EVERY one of them did that. you hear me tell one of them "remember to arch" I told all of them that ON VIDEO. the instructor tells them 50 times each etc. Then muscle memory took effect and they went into poker playing position. They all sat like they were at the tables. They all tried to kill the TMI but yes the last guy was the worst. My photos My Videos
