jdthomas 0 #1 January 6, 2008 Just got home from Skate City.. ahh the memories from the 80's when I got to go to the skate rink! Not too much has changed, music still sucks, cheap rental skates are crap and the place is as tacky as ever. Are roller skate rinks stuck in some space and time hole or something. The cools kids with all the moves where still there, the kids who fall in front of you and the wall huggers where also still there as well as creepy old petifile guy(s) with all the fancy dance moves that came by themselves .. Cotton candy, giant pretzels and pepsi still flow from the snack bar at baseball park prices.. I didn't know it was possible either, but since the invention of rollerblades, quad skating has gone completely downhill. I miss skating. I went to a sports store this past weekend and tried on a pair of quads for kicks. I skated a few yards and tried to stop not remembering that the brakes on quads are in the front. I almost ran in to a display, but was able to turn around quick enough not to. If I didn't take those things off when I did, I probably would have been kicked out of the store. d_squared431 0 #11 January 6, 2008 I will get her on the slopes... she even said she was going to jump in the Lake....I am still am not cleared to play on snowboard yet. I am hoping that will change on the 28th when I see my ortho doc. We are getting hammered with snow in the mountains right now. In one night they received 4-6 ft of snow and more to come tonight. The news people have no idea how much to estimate other than another 4-5 ft or more. You are going to have a great time when you come out.
