shropshire 0 #19 January 11, 2008 I understand, I really do but I can also see the value of the seemingly flippant "Out of the Box" thinking that some students demonstrate. This has it's own value too, it can show imagination from some students who dont have such mathematically analytical minds. (.)Y(.) ONe of my favorite classes to teach is our liberal arts math class------Math for students who don't like math------In that class I really encourage the out of the box thinking and anything goes in getting the answer. Sometimes, the students actually end up liking math by the end of the quarter."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!!
