happythoughts 0 #1 January 15, 2008 This afternoon, I was walking down the sidewalk to an office. A woman comes sprinting by me... followed by a man sprinting behind her... followed by a woman sprinting behind her... I turned and said, "Is this some kind of jogging-at-lunch thing?" (Sarcasm - none of them looked like joggers) As I watched the last woman go by, I heard tires squeal behind me and saw a vehicle slide out of the parking lot. I went inside and was talking to a receptionist, when the last woman walked in. She was an employee of the office and the first couple had snatched her mothers purse. Later that evening, I was about 3-4 blocks from that office and saw the suv parked half on the curb. I assume they stole the suv for their little crime spree and dumped it. So, I did my errands, went to dinner with my son, and headed home. Since it was late (past 9:30), they had already locked the Circle-K (convenience store) for the evening and I couldn't get coffee. (You pay for gas at the pump) Most convenience stores don't stay open past 12 because they steal the clerks. I don't miss living there.

Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

A while back, there was a rash of crimes where they hauled the clerk off. I believe it is a county ordinance that there has to be two clerks in the store at all times that it is open. They had a closed and locked store, with two people in it.
