The signal-to-noise ratio is just too high, and it's the same people making the same inside jokes over and over again whether it's Dublin or Prairie or Skyfest or the Holiday Boogie. And yes, I've been guilty of being part of that noise before, but lately I've realized how it's mostly just static. Even if I'm planning to attend the event, and even if it's one of my favorite events to attend, I almost wish the hype on DZ.com would die down a little bit because I prefer the events to speak for themselves. Constant in-group chit-chat about inside jokes and inside stuff only serves to make the event itself actually seem less appealing. It's oddly counter-productive. Might just be me, though.
