Might just be me, though.

Nah, you're just a .........crap, I remember talking at the Farm and you said something like-"most people just think I'm a ______" But I started my reply before I realized that I don't remember what to call you. I had when I go in to brain lock. Just pretend that I called you the appropriate name:)

Self-righteous bitch. I think that's what you're trying to think of. :)

No matter what the event, I find myself tuning out of the threads for the most part when they ramp up to multiple pages and multiple threads many months before the event. The signal-to-noise ratio is just too high, and it's the same people making the same inside jokes over and over again whether it's Dublin or Prairie or Skyfest or the Holiday Boogie. And yes, I've been guilty of being part of that noise before, but lately I've realized how it's mostly just static. Even if I'm planning to attend the event, and even if it's one of my favorite events to attend, I almost wish the hype on DZ.com would die down a little bit because I prefer the events to speak for themselves. Constant in-group chit-chat about inside jokes and inside stuff only serves to make the event itself actually seem less appealing. It's oddly counter-productive. Might just be me, though.

I agree, 100%.

I guess i'm too late to come along and make a serious post...but here goes. Some people need to give more than 4 months notice to get the time off work. I see no reason to have the 4month rule about boogies.

..sometimes there should be a little flexability
..sometimes you should step back and make sure your looking at the whole picture. Sometimes the picture changes while your staring at one spot.

And sometimes ya should just be happy a person invited you to the party and you shouldn't take a pee in his kitchen.

Seriously man, be a little more gracious guest. Ok?

Poor spence, having a serious thread turned into a sex discussion. Go figure you're involved. :P

i made no mention of sex what so ever, and i am rarely involved in those types of threads
Question; If a house with two gay men in it catches on fire, which one gets out first??

Why you gotta qualify it with "know it all"?

Seems like it was ages ago but there was a thread a while back where a guy was ragging on "know-it-all bitches". I vaguely recall he was referencing Krisanne and Rhonda Lea but I'm sure they would remember it better than me.

edited to add clicky.

If event organizers want to advertise prior to the 4 month rule, there is the calendar tab at the top of the page where anyone can click and find future boogies.

Reading the USPA PR announcement about how well the sport is doing, got me thinking....
(yeah yeah, I know...but go with it)

I know there is, nor ever would be, a way to gauge the impact this site has had on the sport overall, but I'm willing to be it's quite significant.

H.H. has made the skydiving world a lot smaller and easier to get around in regarding the exchange of ideas and information...WORLD WIDE.

Those efforts seem to go unnoticed or at least unappreciated at times...and that's unfortunate.

Thanks Sangiro !

Let me add my thanks to this. As someone new to skydiving, I have found this website a remarkable place to get to know more. More about skydiving, more about skydivers, both here in Idaho and around the world. Thanks, Sangiro
