It's SNOWING in Rockmart, GA!

Recommended Posts

I'm going to try to convince them to go. Not to sure how they'd feel about an ash dive though. :S Does anyone know if the ash dive is going to be earlier in the day or later in the day? As much as I would love to spend the entire day out there not to sure about the parents.

If the weather is perfect, The ash dive will be at Sunset. Otherwise I think we will get it up while whenever we can. Brandy will of course be the one making the decision.

In all reality, The forcast for Saturday is not promising. Current forcast is Rain and Snow. Sunday is looking alot better.

We will alll still be there both days though. Come out and say hello and have a drink with us even if we are not able to get the Ash Dive up till sunday.

If you guys want something to write on take some of the snow and cold from Fargo. By saturday you might not even be able write in the snow, it'll freeze before it hits.

My brother lives in Fargo, and I used to live in GF. I happen to know you can write in the snow when it's well below 0 :P I don't recommend it though.

Skydive Fargo, you know my uncle then.

We got snow in Rockmart! It's been lightly snowing for a couple of hours and it's sticking with a light layer so far.

Snow JUMPS!

A couple of shots taken from CNN Center looking out to Centennial Olympic Park.
Didn't really stick to the roads (just became a slushy mess).
It was sticking on just about everything else. . Made for some good wet heavy snowballs

Ha ha, between that, and CNN.com reporting the aiport had gotten a total of 0.4" of snow at midnight, and nothing but rain thereafter, why am I not surprised that schools were closed in 12 counties due to the snow. :S:D

It was a the great GA blizzard of '08!!! That's why so many schools were closed! It was almost as exciting as the great GA blizzard of '07 when there was a rush on bread and milk at the store and then....

...nothing happened. No snow, no ice, no rain, nada. I cried when I woke up and looked out the window and realized my office would not be closed for the day. :(

Seriously, I think all the schools that were closed are in the mountains. They might have gotten some legitimate snow up there. :P

I only got about half an inch of snow and it was all gone by late afternoon. But not before I scooped up a good handful and packed it into a snowball then stuck it in my freezer. It's now an iceball!:ph34r::ph34r:

There were parts of Alabama that got 5 inches. Still that's a far cry from the blizzard of '93 when we had 12" to 16" of snow that froze everything for 3 days. We're overdue for another blizzard of the century. :P

We were living in Tuscaloosa during that time. My son was only 2 then, the snowdrifts against the house were taller than he was. It melted quickly though. It was a good thing, because no one knew how to drive in all that snow!

They never will learn. [:/] It's just better to stay home unless you have an emergency and need to go somewhere. Then you just pray no dipshits hit you. :P

Well, that explains some things that I've wondered about:P
