MikeForsythe 0 #53 January 18, 2008 The issue here is Andrea asked if it made a difference and people have said yes. Also J did not start the post he replied to the post. There is a changing trend in cooperate America that is requiring some employees to give greater notice and maybe this could be considered for future reference.Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is! Squeak 17 #54 January 18, 2008 Quote Quote To be honest, YES. In reading some of the response several people have stated that employers are now requiring six months or more notice for vacation time request. It's really sad if someone is unable to request time off at work just because they can't postwhore about it. To anyone considering going to the boogie, I will help you right now: The dates are in J's sig line. Skyfest is June 4th-9th in South Carolina. J posts on here as "upndownshop". If you have specific questions, he's pretty nice and is good at answering pm's, so go ahead and send him one. Now, write the dates on your calendar, ask your boss, ask your significant other, save your money and make your fight reservations. If you would like to share a room with someone, send them a pm and ask them if they are going to the boogie. If they say "yes" in their reply, ask if you can sleep with them. This isn't that hard, people. My God, how did anyone ever go to a boogie before Sangiro made dz.com? you are such a MOMYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! SkyDekker 1,465 #60 January 18, 2008 Lol, took her down the hill on the toboggan. She loved it, but wasn't very fond of the snow spraying in her face as you can see from the expression on her face. Her and her brother love the snow. Get them bundled up, vaseline on their faces and play for hours.

There is a changing trend in cooperate America that is requiring some employees to give greater notice and maybe this could be considered for future reference. Mike is correct about this. I started getting request of dates back in October, because they were required to request their dates in November. I was unable to determine everything as I would have liked, but a couple months longer lead time in the Events would be nice. Yes the other ways of getting the info out is available but one would agree its not as popular as the Events Forum. Yes we will run ads in the magazines, but the budget is very limited and there is no way to start those that early and still cover the few months prior to the event. Personally I believe 6 months lead time would be appropriate. I completely understand the reasons behind it, but IMO the 4 months is pretty much too late for the Europeans and others in the corporate world. One more note: The short notice could also be a diservice to the paid advertisers because they set their event schedule in January along with their budget. AND SkyDekker....that is one adourable child, great pic!!

Jewels 0 #65 January 18, 2008 GORGEOUS! That's just HORRIBLE vacation temptation right there. I thought my life was really good until you showed me what it could be! (Nah, my life is still great. Doesn't mean I can't be envious!) Edited to add: Where'd the attachment go?!!! Edited again: Okay, it's back. I'm fine. That moment of anxiety is over. Darius11 12 #74 January 18, 2008 My life has been a roller coaster for most of it and it looks like that’s never going to change. I don’t stress much about anything but I have never been more confused then I am now. I am questioning everything, things I thought I had already answered for my self. I am also looking to find something to be passionate about something to want to do or learn. I simply have lost interest in almost every thing. I guess the biggest thing for me is to find a goal drive and commitment has never been an issue for me but choosing a direction is. I am 31 soon to be 32 I just feel I need to know what I care about. I also have been obsessing about questions that have no answer, God, the Universe, the meaning of life things of that nature. but i am happy to be healthy and if iw roth this post tomorrow it might be a lot more posative. it is just one of those days today.I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
