upndownshop 0 #1 January 18, 2008 Mine, well things really sucked in 2007, but I kept a smile on my face...still recovering from the aftermath but I believe things will improve. Have a lot to be excited about this year, working hard at the new business and extremely excited about SkyFest 2008! Of course that SF energy comes from all of you, so thank you. As much as I have moved on, certain things come up that still affect my life beyond my control. I grunt once then find a way to smile again. Thus making me stronger and wiser. Looking forward to tomorrow and the exciting challenges that may face me. I need to jump more (yes i can hear Lee now: Skrimmy get your ASS in the air) but that will come in time. Life gets in Life's way., and thats ok, cause skydiving has taught me to handle the risk and look forward to the next "jump" of life. Hope you all can find that bit of shimmering light that lets your wings fly again. Ok, off to get myself in trouble now. Shhh dont tell sunshine that I might be misbehaving... Thanks for listening, uuuhh reading, ahh whatever

sartre 0 #5 January 18, 2008 Yeah, 2007 was an interesting year for me as well. Lots of new beginnings and a couple of big endings. This is the year I focus on figuring out how to make decisions based upon what I want and not based on pleasing a father figure of any sort. It's an extremely hard habit to break. Frenchy68 0 #7 January 18, 2008 Life's amazingly great. Filled with adventures, surprises, and people who can lighten up a day with a smile. And 2008 may be my best vintage yet. upndownshop 0 #10 January 18, 2008 I wasnt sure to post something like this, but.....my thought was that maybe sometimes we need to step back and take a closer look. Then maybe we can realize that things arent so bad after all. I'm glad to hear things are good for folks, and even if they are not great......I for one am glad you are here!! Be well to all! Shotgun 1 #12 January 18, 2008 2007 was definitely not one of the best years of my life. I'm hoping this year will be better, but I'm feeling a little bit lost at the moment, and I'm not sure which direction I want to go in. I can't say that I am particularly happy right now, but at least I am feeling grateful for what I have (mostly my family and friends), and I guess I have no real complaints. Amazon 7 #14 January 18, 2008 Life is pretty good work wise.... I finished up a project at the end of the year.. took a couple weeks off.. and got an offer for a new contract yesterday with a starrt of next week... even got another pay raiseSkydiving wise..... its just not skydiving weather up here in the Pacific NorthWET... I have not jumped since the first weekend of NOV at SD Atlanta and the Farm.... BUT I think I may have to show up at the DZ and have a chat with the regional director about WTF is going on with our national organization... That will make up my mind if I am going to get a CSPA license this year instead of USPA... hell Pitt Meadows in British Columbia is closer for me to drive to than the drive THRU Seattle traffic to go to Kapowsin. Personal life.. meh... no cabana boys right now... I have been a little too career focused.. but I may have to take a 3 day weekend and fly someplace warm and find a couple of them... just for grins. JerryBaumchen so is divorce to be expected?....bullshit! in my view. i am on a second marriage, but, the first ended in the "till death do us part" lack of option. i am so tired of people getting married, then getting divorced do to lack of trying. dont mind me...i have had a few tonight. ________________________________ Where is Darwin when you need him? Scario-Kim 0 #20 January 18, 2008 2007 was definately a year full of learning and fulfilling dreams. I am looking forward all the new adventures in 2008. Glad to hear things are going good for you. I will see you at SF and hpefully do more than 1 jump this year . Count me in for volunteering if you still need help.Quote Kim
 grannyinthesky 0 #21 January 18, 2008 My life has taken a decided turn for the better since finding skydiving last October. I have never felt so alive in my life. Almost daily, I find myself being willing to step out of my comfort zone and choose to do those things that used to scare me to death, like talking to people on a personal level or hugging people. That extends to even physical things. There was a time when I wouldn't even jump down from something even a foot high. My life is some much more vibrant and challenging now. i can't ever imagine going back to where I was."safety first... and What the hell..... safety second, Too!!!
