wildfan75 1 #1 January 28, 2008 Big weekend for me so I thought I'd start us off. Finally...beautiful WI winter weather. It's amazing how the lower 20F's seem like 60F's after darn near two weeks of below zero temps. We even got 21 loads up today (182's). Beer owed for getting my coach rating!! hobie331 0 #7 January 28, 2008 0:0:0 Started out for the dz yesterday. Just couldn't bear two hours both ways after the 6.5 hour to and from Whitewright last weekend. Congrats on the 600 Shaun. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
WatchYourStep 0 #8 January 28, 2008 0:2:0 Worked all day Saturday so no jumping. 2 fun jumps on Sunday before the wind started going from 14 to 30. virgin-burner 1 #10 January 28, 2008 : 1 : (1) got a nice jump on saturday in, another solo, hoped for a second one, but since i was new to the place and a first time jumper there, i had to through "platzeinweisung".. friday i was snowboarding tough.. amazing, do a thing for a whole day, that actually costs one jump!!! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. sriddy 0 #13 January 28, 2008 0:4:0 I got in three solos and an AFF check dive. PASSED!!! I have all the boxes checked, so all I need to do is throw myself out of a plane three more times and I'll have an A. If the weather is good next weekend, I'll have it! dfairleigh11 0 #14 January 28, 2008 0:0:0. Kinda crappy weather, except for right before sunset yesterday. Does spending 7 or so hours at the DZ count at all?"We'll start the ass kissing with you"
wildfan75 1 #15 January 28, 2008 Quote Does spending 7 or so hours at the DZ count at all? I applaud you for doing that. I've pretty much spent every weekend at the dz for the last 20 months (since I started skydiving) regarldess rain, shine or snow. I have learned an incredible amount in during the non-jumpable time, which can be almost just as valuable. I still learn an incredible amount and I hope that never stops. brianfry713 0 #16 January 29, 2008 Beautiful day in Byron Saturday. A nice broken layer at 8k that wasn't over the top. Some freeflying and a high pull.
angrypeppers 1 #17 January 29, 2008 I finally have something worth reporting! Seven jumps at Eloy: two hop & pops Friday, and five RW jumps Saturday. Got rained out Sunday, but I was able to split an hour in the tunnel with Mile Hi Mayhem and my friend Chris. Winds were too strong today for me, so I only got in about half the jumps I wanted to make while I was there. I also met my first non-Mile Hi DZ.commer, Freefall365. Beer for my first trip to Eloy, and probably a few more things...Burn the land and boil the sea, You can't take the sky from me.
