Skyfest site is back up and running

An idea...how about turning this into a link so I don't have to search for the AC page (which I couldn't find)

"A plethora of standard and specialty aircraft to jump, see the AC page"

not speaking for J BUT I think this is a "work in progress"
now lets start a rumor

aircraft

B52
$6500.00 per jump

SR71
$14,000 jump from 60,000 feet

:S:)

Hey! I'm really good at being impatient.... its one of my strengths (what few I have) ask anyone who's ever worked for me. Software people work best under unrelenting pressure and deadlines. :P

If we're starting a rumour... we need lower prices!

There is one in every crowd, oh wait, thats not a crowd, its Canada....LOL;)

The site was switched last night, so it will take time to get all the pages up. AC was not my priority:S:S but there will be an AC page. SF is known for its specialty AC each year, but this year will be a bit different. We had to turn at least 5 of the specialty AC into Casa's! Actually 3 Casa's and an Otter!!
We do also have 2 Balloons dropping 4 days, the helicopter is almost confirmed. I know I know, I feel naked too without........
AN2
1942 Champ
4 Powered Parachutes
G Caravan
Pitts, I'm forgetting something.
But anyway you get my point. The 3 Casa's and an Otter are massive lift power!!
If you can guarantee me that we will do more 2500 jumps a day, I will get all those AC for you. Sound good?:)
The statement you are referring to was written for the old site which was true until we got 3 Casa's.

Ok hope this helps and thanks for being so observant. And yes we need the AC page up.

thanks

J

Jay, Don't give it another thought. If you give everyone what they want someone will bitch about the cost, if you have cheap registration they will bitch because there is no beer and they had to wait in line. It's a no win for you. Build the boogie the way you want and let the complainers stay home.

As I have in all my years of "Retail" business I strive to serve each and every customer unique in their needs. I still live by that...except when running a Skydiving event. I tried to make sure that every customer had what they needed at the price they wanted for two years. And I believe I was pretty damn close at achieving that. Come SF 03, those individuals became what I now call my problem childs. :)
So who wants to get on my problem child list??? Come on "Make My Day"..LOL

You know I love you all, now sit down, shut up and jump your ass off!

thank you

J;)

I know you don't want to offend so let me do it for you. I found for the most part that about 15% of the people should have stayed home for one reason or another. Those are the ones that complained about everything, wanted to know what they were getting for their registration money, could not do anything for themselves(there were some that I am amaized they feed themselves on a regular basis), or are there to cause trouble of some kind.

So everyone, if this sounds like you maybe you should go to another DZ the weekend of Skyfest. One with fewer people so you can get a little more individual attention.

Let me be clear that this is my opinion and not the opinion of J or Skyfest.

So, is that like being politically correct?:S

I must say that I agree, but I would have presented it a bit different. And probably killed the thread at the same time:o

thanks

I'll take your post a little further.
Don't forget the people who
- won't pay registration because they might not jump.
- show up with out of date reserves and get pissed at the person who is responsible for gear checks.
- ask you to look up their USPA # because they forgot their card
- who don't know what a garbage can is
I could go on, but I won't.

I have very limited experience working at boogies, but I have seen enough to know that people can be annoying as hell and need a lot of babysitting.
Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
