Also don't have an LCD or Plasma TV which I hear can suck power, even when off. [:/]

Easy solution: All my entertainment gear plugs into a switch box with 12 individually-switch receps in the back and a master switch. I hit the master switch when I'm done using it, and it can't use any current when it is off. Same system for all my computer gear.

About $4 for electric a month, about $10 for gas. I think electricity is running around 12 cents/kwhr. (Complex because they have a graduated scale.)

Are you living in a highly insulated dog house???[:/]

Dig around with the search function and you should be able to pull up the pics of the solar panels covering his roof.;)

Well, actually I'd like to see what other people are paying for both gas and electricity this month.

1100 SF and I pay 115/Month including sewage, water, electric, gas and taxes.

I pay about $175+ a month for electric in the summer and $50 a month in the winter.

For gas, I pay $20 in the summer and $200+ in the winter.

To put this into perspective, I am heating/cooling a 1,900 square foot home with high ceilings and a large upstairs bonus room. My AC is electric. The furnace and hot water heater are gas. Winter is typically in the 20's to 40's (F) in the winter and 85 to 95 F in the summer. I keep my thermostat at 71 in the summer and 68 in the winter.

I would much rather be cold than hot! My first winter after moving into my home, I set the thermostat to 74
and paid a whopping $350 as a result...that's why mine STAYS at 68 F. :S
