Try iiiiiit... you know you want to.

Hit REPLY... type some stuff... and see if "skydive" has a little red "you misspelled it" line under it.

I am always right. I know that is tough to admit.
It is so cleansing to face up to it though.

Mine doesn't have spell check, or I do have it but don't have it turned on, not that I need it anyways. What browser are you using?

Firefox. I don't know how the browser would make a difference.

Because IE doesn't have it. Maybe - just thinkin' - ya know - CAPTIAN OBVIOUS!

So Firefox is for high school drop-outs, is that what you mean? ;)

I went through a period when I had a lot of free time, so I used the standard internet virus collection software.

Eventually, the amusement waned and I started using Firefox, so I can't remember all the dysfunctions of the old software.

You can turn off the spell check in your Preferences for Firefox. If it bugs you that much!

My spel cheker wants to turn it into "sky dive".

It's also not much of a help when grammar is being butchered.

I mean, 's or s' or simply s behind a word?
That is so confusing..
Usually I just put an s behind the word regardless of context and pretend that the ' key isn't working...

Using a mac aren't ya?

Right-click (ctrl+click on mouse or double-finger tap on trackpad) the word, and from the menu that pops up, ciick 'Add to Dictionary' :)

When I type the little words, it spell-checks them as I go along. If one is misspelled, it immediately has a red line underneath it.

So, why is it that "skydive" has one?

:o

Firefox: about:config -> layout.spellcheck.default
Default is "1". Change that to "0" to turn it off.

I already clicked on the "add to dictionary" doober.

(I also added "doober" to my personal dictionary.
I use it a lot.)

I was just laughing at the irony of being on a skydiving website, yet every time that I typed "skydive", it flagged it.

I work with a bunch of technical terms and acronyms that get added also.

I am not 'Doober.' I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Sorry, "doober" is technical jargon for the thingie that I clicked on.

It is hard to use "dude" online because it has so many distinct meanings/uses based on vocal inflection alone.
Noun, verb, adjective. The list is endless.

agreement - nodding head, "Duuuude"
uncertainty - open door, furniture in disarray, leaning head into room, "Dude?"
exasperation - pizza boxes and beer bottles on floor, "Dude-uh"
